After using an app-integrated browser for the past 2 years, I could never go back. The most frustrating thing is switching between accounts on the same app or having to constantly log in and out. With Shift, I have a curated list of apps I use daily for different workspaces (aka, different areas of my life), and I never need to log out. I have separate lists of apps for work, my social/personal life, and side projects. Not only are all my apps just one click away, but the workspaces in Shift also allow me to focus on specific tasks at a time, beautifully dividing my work and personal life. It's a bonus that Shift has also cured my tab hoarding tendencies.
  • Organize my accounts and workspaces
  • Eliminate my tendency to hard tabs
  • Gives me access to all of the apps I use on a daily basis, without having it constantly log in and out of them
  • Less bugs
  • More features
Shift is perfect with anyone with busy digital lives and multiple accounts to look after. It makes you more efficient with your work since every app you need is available just one click away and the workspaces help you stay focused on the current task.

It’s fantastic to be able to have all of my email accounts in one seamless app for my
macbook. I use it for my personal email, work email and consulting business emails and it’s awesome. There isn’t a direct “gmail app” for MacBook and that is how I came across this product and love it.
  • Organize multiple email inboxes
  • Allows for a workspace for each account
  • The app integrations are handy
  • Some apps don’t work as well as they would on a regular plugin for a browser
  • Web browser is nice, but Chrome is a bit more user friendly
  • Sometimes things load strange and take over a work space (some forms or PDFs)
It’s awesome when you have multiple emails and want them to all maintain their appearance and function of the native inbox (Outlook, Gmail, etc).

It isn’t the greatest at times with calendars in certain scenarios and Microsoft teams app is atrocious to begin with and especially on the Shift app version.

I use it as a solo, self-employed man who runs many small content creation businesses. Being a solo entrepreneur and having many different jobs to fill, including using many other apps to have a streamlined, simple, easy-to-use one-window application like Shift, helps streamline my ability to manage and maintain all of the projects I have opened once. This includes third-party apps like Canva Lightroom and WhatsAe. PP for business all in one fantastic place. I highly recommend that if you are somebody who is using a multi-application-based business, then a shift is highly recommended. It integrates into most websites. It's hard to find one that doesn't incorporate into the change, and its ability to create bookmarks import and exporting is extremely volleyball, especially when you're coming from a web browser-based business where you have to use bookmarks that are already on your Chrome.
  • Unified workspace.
  • Email client.
  • Integrated into apps.
  • Updating it's browser function for websites to detect it as a browser.
  • Allowing more applications from 3rd parties.
  • ability to add team members into work spaces.
I use it every day, and it is so lovely to have a clear desktop and only have one app running with everything I need. For example, when I am creating YouTube content, I need to be able to check analytical data on my YouTube channel, then open up Canva and create additional differences to the thumbnails that Land is making for the following video. I also need to be able to open Google Sheets to update my team and keep track of everything on Trello so we know what project we are currently working on our project. Workflow for content creation is spread across Trello Canva, WhatsApp, and Google Sheets, so to have all of these simultaneously open, I can switch between them all within shift is absolutely a godsend. Also, the fact that it integrates with Microsoft To-Do is beneficial as this is how we keep track of all completed tasks that we, as a team, create.

I liked how it made my work much more efficient and organized. There are a lot of apps that I use daily for work and it made switching back and forth so much easier. It improved my time management. I can never go back to using any other web browsers.
  • Have all email accounts in one setting
  • Prevents distractions
  • Quick to answer any questions I have
  • Integrated all my favorite apps in one setting
  • It is a little buggy but the team gets it fixed right away
  • Sometimes it takes them longer to respond to my inquiries but I assume it's because they're busy
  • It can sometimes heat up my laptop
For work, I get a lot of emails and messages daily so It makes everything easier since I don't have to have multiple devices open. It improved my time management skills and made me more efficient. It prevents me from getting any distractions as well with a click of a button.

As a consultant, I oftentimes struggle with many different client specific applications. Not every application is even allowed on my company's own laptop. Browser functionality is allowed however, and Shift keeps me connected to every client environment I need and simultaneously. This ensures I am able to seamlessly switch environments and stay updated.
  • Different teams environments at the same time
  • Password storage
  • Mail handling
  • Number of updates is quite high
  • My laptop fires up quickly when using the program (processor)
  • Sometimes I have some problems when a specific account tries to log in to a different account. F.i. A teams account that tries logging in with totally different credentials than it was set up for
When you have multiple teams, outlook and other environments to manage at the same time, Shift is a great solution.

I use Shift to stay updated across all of my workspaces and apps. As a freelancer, it's critical for me to stay abreast of all of my clients' needs, feedback, communication, and updates so that I can quickly help them with their problems (and get paid for my work!). Shift is the perfect solution for managing multiple emails and apps throughout the day.
  • Notification prioritisation.
  • App integration.
  • Customer support.
  • Billing help.
  • More personalisation options.
  • App specific shortcuts.
  • I preferred the old logo!
It is well suited when you use two or more programs on a daily basis (e.g., Asana, email, time tracking, project management, Slack, Discord, browsers...). The only scenario I can think of where Shift wouldn't be appropriate is when someone's entire workflow remains with one single app, e.g., those in employment on specific platforms.

As a professional juggling numerous projects and roles, I found myself drowning in a sea of open browser tabs, each dedicated to a different Gmail account. That's when I discovered Shift - a game-changer in email management. Shift is not just another email client; it's a productivity powerhouse tailored specifically for Gmail users like myself.
  • Unified Workspace.
  • Seamless Navigation.
  • Customizable Workspaces.
  • Login in Office365.
When you have multiple email accounts on Gmail, it is paramount to have a system like Shift. Also, when you have several accounts scattered between Gmail, Office365, and Yahoo mail, Shift's commitment to safeguarding my information is reassuring. With features like passcode protection and end-to-end encryption, I can trust that my emails and sensitive information remain secure.

We have a portfolio of companies, each with its own set of SAAS products and email addresses. We use Shift to access all of them quickly without having to manage logging in and out of different tools. It also pulls all of my calendars together in one view. Even as a single email client, I find it useful as I can jump between email, Slack, WhatsApp, and Trello in one place.
  • Handling multiple logins for the same apps.
  • Email client.
  • Unified calendar.
  • Advanced features are not intuitive to setup.
If you have more than one email address and apps and calendars associated with them, this will make it easy for you to move between them.

Shift helps me stay organized and focused by having a central portal to access all of my high-use apps, such as email, calendar, CRM, project management tools, and the option to access a web browser. It helps me feel less chaotic as I don't have to have a multitude of Chrome tabs open, and I can easily toggle between platforms.
  • Provides a easy to use platform to easily access a variety of applications.
  • Helps me stay focused.
  • Makes logging into multiple applications easy.
  • Occasionally the left hand panel icons visually disappear.
Shift is well suited to professionals who utilise and switch between a lot of applications in their day-to-day work and need a central place to manage all of this.

I use Shift to improve my workflow, with everything I need in a single platform. Without needing to open multiple tabs and programs, I save an immense amount of time. Shift also allows me to keep my passwords safe and in one place.
  • Consolidate programs.
  • Consolidate tabs.
  • Allow add ons.
  • Some addons are not compatible.
  • Occasional video playback issues.
I have used Shift to demonstrate new business products, fully simulating the customer touchpoints of the online product without needing to move between programs, tabs, or windows.

I use Shift to manage the multiple email accounts I use. One of the accounts is my business account for the church I work for. As a church, we have decided to use Google for all our document creation and management. The layout and ease of use with Shift allows me to manage multiple documents at one time.
  • Multiple email accounts.
  • Ability to manage multiple documents.
  • Tabs remain open even after shut down.
  • Not having to re-sign in back into google accounts.
Shift is best suited for multiple Google accounts. I can manage my personal and business accounts in the one program, Shift. Using shift allows me not to have to sign-in to different accounts in my internet browser. For this reason, I can use my browser specifically for other purposes.

If you manage multiple Gmail inboxes, Shift is the best option I've come across to make that process less cluttered. It makes it easy to toggle back and forth between Google Workspace apps without trying to figure out which tab it's in. Replace tabs in your traditional with a much more streamlined workplace.
  • Application management.
  • Cleaning up browser clutter.
  • Managing multiple inboxes.
  • Some browser features, like bookmarks and password saving, could be improved.
If you manage multiple inboxes like I do for clients, it makes toggling back and forth between them super easy. No need to have multiple Chrome windows open for different accounts, it's all in one place. Manage each of their apps in each siloed workspace. I was tired of flipping back and forth between Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and more. Shift solved that issue.

Shift collects all the frequently used web apps in one place to reduce the time to switch them all my working time. I used it for nearly all of my communication within different channels. It is the main application that opens the whole of my working time. This integration helps me focus on my work day by day.
  • Integration
  • Supporting multiple applications
  • Helping the easy communication
  • Swich back the old icon
The main application that I used for communicating on multiple channels all day. So it helps me to do all of my task related to this in one place with an easy GUI.

Shift has transformed the way I work every day! Having one central hub that I go to for all of my apps is incredible and being able to manage multiple emails as a freelancer has been a game-changer. I regularly recommend Shift to clients and colleagues as a way of improving efficiency!
  • All apps in one place
  • Multiple email accounts in one place
  • Speeds up computer speed by having less apps open
  • Very occasional crashes when opening a link to an external app
Where a user manages multiple email accounts, this has proven invaluable as a freelancer for other agencies

I use Shift in my daily life. It centralizes email, calendar, and all of the tools that I use daily - slack, Jira, confluence, productboard, Asana, etc. I can access all that I need from a central source and navigate with ease. It makes my daily life much more straightforward.
  • Centralizes all tools required in daily workflows for my job.
  • Makes my workflows far more efficient.
  • Organizes the essentials and displays them in an easy to use UI.
  • More frequent updates.
  • Sometimes issues with needing to restart shift when it freezes.
Shift is well suited for folks that are using multiple tools in their daily role/responsibilities. It may not be useful or appropriate if the user only has 1-3 tools they use or need access to on a daily basis.

I use Shift at work to streamline the process of managing multiple email accounts, using Slack, and using a few other platforms all in one window. Because I have a research-heavy job - I already always have a million tabs open. It is nice to be able to have a separate window where I can house all of my communication-related apps/websites/etc and a few others. I recommended the platform to a couple of other people at my company who now use it too. I'd say this is more of a personal workflow solution than a general business solution.
  • Streamlines personal workflow.
  • It helps manage multiple inboxes quickly and easily.
  • Offer tons of integrations for other platforms you use like Slack, banking, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Every once in awhile it can be a bit slow.
  • Once in a while if I am using Shift on my monitor screen and I close my laptop, next time I use my laptop with no monitor I can't get Shift to come up again. I can only get the window back when I plug back into my monitor. Super annoying for something that I pay for.
  • It doesn't always keep you logged in to each platform you have installed. I suppose this keeps things secure - but I wish it just stayed log in to everything.
I think it's great if you have too many tabs open, and like being able to seamlessly manage more then one inbox plus Slack all from one window. It's also nice that you can mute all notifications at once. Works specifically well with Gmail. I don't think you would need Slack if you are already very organized and systematic about how you manage your email/Slack or if you don't use Gmail.
